Registration Year: In 1994, undergraduate students could start their study in the field of Healthcare Management.

Establishment Year: In 1997, the Department of Healthcare Management was established in Ferdowsi Street. By this independence of faculty, not only undergraduate students transferred to the faculty but also the tuition-based undergraduate program was organized.

Relocation Year: In 2003, Department was relocated to the Health Department, again. Located in 7Bagh BLV, Block A (named Maarefat).

In 2009, the first group of master students in the field of Healthcare Management started their education.

After one year, in 2010, master students in the field of Health Economics were accepted in the department.

In 2012, the first group of master students in the field of Health Technology Assessment were accepted.

Stopping Undergraduate programme: In 2012, the acceptance of undergraduate students in the field of healthcare management was stopped and transferred to the the Bam University of Medical Sciences.

In 2012, the first group of PhD students in the field of Healthcare Management were accepted and started their education.

After 2 years, in 2014, Department accepted PhD students in the field of Health Policy, as well.

In 2022, the first group of PhD students in the field of Health Economic were accepted and started their education.

Changing Name: By expansion and diversity of education programmes, the name of the Department changed to the Health Management, Policy and Economics Department.
